Guyaume Boulianne Our event, Songs from now and long ago is born from a quote said by Alain Doucet, taken from his book “La littérature orale de la Baie Sainte-Marie”, “we hope that [our songs be placed in our disposition sooner rather than later]. The first step was that our songs were some that can still be found and listened to in our current days, [which is why] they are safeguarded in our National Museum”. (Quote translated from French) With the support of the Société acadienne de Clare, Guyaume Boulianne has made the trip to Ottawa to bring home these songs. He will also be sharing a few of his experiences with the research he has done on the topic.
