Festival Hike

This hike is a tradition in the Festival’s history. A great opportunity to discover the panoramic views of Saint Mary’s Bay. Please bring snacks and water. We also recommend you wear long pants. Perfume-free environment, including bug repellent and sunscreen. There will be scent free bug repellent and sunscreen on location.

Note: The trail is muddy in certain areas

Children’s Acadian Parade

Youth ages 12 and under are invited to participate in the annual Children’s Acadian Parade, which will start at the Stella-Maris Church and will end at the Villa Acadienne, Meteghan. Prizes will be given to the best groups! Participants and families are invited to stay afterwards for a snack. In case of rain, the activity will be held on Thursday, August 2nd.

Tintamarre

Tintamarre is an Acadian tradition of marching or driving through one’s community making noise with improvised instruments and other noisemakers, in celebration of National Acadian Day.

We will be leaving from Salmon River Fire Hall and going towards Université Sainte-Anne with a concert to end the night. Your participation in this event is much appreciated. Following the rules of the road is required for the safety of all our participants, including wearing seatbelts.
